Tron Omland

I am currently working as a research scientist at the Norwegian National Security Authority and as an associate professor at the University of Oslo.

Previously, I have been a visiting assistant professor at Arizona State University, a postdoctoral fellow at the University of Oslo with a research fellowship through the Research Council of Norway, a visiting professor at the Naval Postgraduate School, an associate professor at Oslo Metropolitan University. I got my PhD from NTNU.

For most of my academic career, my research interests have been operator algebras in connection with dynamical systems and group theory. More recent interests include cryptology and quantum information theory.
